Let Her Cry!

I don't even have to make many comments on this post: Brent and I got to see Hootie and the Blowfish last night in concert!!! Needless to say, it was incredible. We really lucked out and got there 45 minutes before the doors opened, getting a great spot in line, thus getting AWESOME seats right on the "rail" at the Wildhorse Saloon's second floor. First floor was reserved seating - tickets were around $115!!
We met some awesome people sitting around us. One couple drove all the way from Kansas City, MO to see the Drew Davis Band (they opened for Hootie). The husband of this couple from Kansas City was Drew's wrestling coach, so they chose to arrange their anniversary trip around Drew's tour dates...funny, huh? Once the DDB played, we completely understood why they tolerated the travel: their band was awesome!!
We also met this mother/daughter duo while we were waiting in line. We ended up sitting by them and found out the mom owns a business that sells aircraft parts to commercial airlines - right here in Franklin, TN. We had the opportunity to talk to her a little about the business - she said whenever she tells people that's what she does they first give her the, "Really? but you're a woman!" then secondly she said most people ask about a thousand questions. Brent and I did all we could not to ask her thousands of questions even though it's not every day you hear of someone in this profession.
I don't even have to tell you how great Hootie was!! The crowd went crazy when they came on stage. I thought my husband was going to jump over the rail in excitement - it was funny! Even though we had vulchers hanging over our backs the entire concert, we still had a great time.
Standing in line outside Wildhorse - we had a great spot in line, but as it approached 6:00 p.m. the line grew longer and longer. Even though my expression on my face might say otherwise, I had a great time!
We ate dinner at the Wildhorse - they had a special Concert Menu. I've decided by naming it that, they feel ok to charge $15 for chicken fingers and fries.
Drew Davis Band Logo and Wildhorse Logo.

Drew Davis Himself: he COULD dance!

And the main act: HOOTIE!!! They were great.

This is a shot from our seats looking back into the building and the first floor with the reserved seats. We definitely had better seats than a lot of these guys!

They played a TON of songs and he had a different guitar for EVERY SINGLE song! It was crazy.

Brent told someone in line before the concert that he could not control what he would do when they played Let Her Cry. Here he is belting out his own version!

That is awesome! Wish we could have been there! I agree with Jennifer, Brent looks in pain, but the song is painful after all, so very appropriate. I used 4 commas.

How fun... who doesn't love some Hootie? Man... you guys really do live in a great part of TN. I would love all the concerts there. We've GOT to come up and stay with you guys and go to some! I am interested in hearing about the "celebs" you've seen!
