Showers Showers Everywhere!

Gosh I cannot believe how time is flying! I have less than 4 weeks to go before Gabriella arrives.
The past few weeks have been busy busy including a great time in Chattanooga last weekend for our 10 year high school reunion and a baby shower with some of my greatest friends and family I haven't seen since we moved.
Brent and I cannot believe it's been 10 years since we graduated, much less started dating. We went to our senior prom together and have dated ever since, so celebrating our 10 year reunion brings a flood of memories for both of us. Friday was a lot of fun getting to see a lot of people we've only spoken to on Facebook and Myspace over the past few years. There were a LOT of people missing, but we enjoyed the few people that did show up on the riverboat cruise. I took just a few pictures and found one of us our senior year together, just for those of you who didn't know us before we packed on the "fell in love" pounds :)

and a few shots from the reunion:

Me, Adam and Carolyn. Funny how neither Adam nor Carolyn look that different.

Group shot: Emily, Jeremy, Melissa, Carolyn and Brandon. Good times!
Lindsey and I. good times.

Adam REALLY wanted to touch my belly but it did so as if it was tickling me instead of just touching it. He was fascinated by the belly and I couldn't stop laughing...
Saturday morning, all of my 'UTC girls' hosted a fabulous shower for me at the Riverpark in North Chattanooga. I had a lot of wonderful friends show up and shower me with their presence and great gifts. I got a lot of wonderful things! (of course, when it's relating to baby how can it not be wonderful?!)

Group shot of my UTC girls: Mel, Jess (expecting!!), Katie, me, Kristi and Brittany. They can throw a FABULOUS party!
Brent's Mom, Me and my Mom
My TVFCU girls (2 of them at least) Tammy and Karen.

After the shower, we grabbed a quick lunch with Gena and Chad and the Yothers. Gena and Chad came in from Knoxville and I never get to see them, so it was great to have a few extra minutes with them. Surprisingly, all three of us are pregnant! Gena's due in November with a little girl; Jodi's due in January with a BOY! (they already have 2 girls, so they are super excited about the male addition)

Good times as you can see! Brent and I are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family who want to take care of us and provide some amazing stuff getting ready for Gabbie. This past weekend we had another shower hosted by my cousin and aunt here in Nashville. All of Brent's family came in town from Alabama and both of our parents and sisters came in from Chattanooga. We also had great friends that we've made here in Nashville join us not only for the shower but a HUGE cookout afterwards here at our house.

Crazy family and BFFs playing monopoly. They were delirious: it was WAY past their bedtime...

The neatest part of the weekend was not only a fabulous shower and cookout, but my parents, our best friends, and my sister and her family all spent the entire weekend with us! It was like one big slumber party here in Spring Hill and was awesome. We woke up Saturday morning to do some a little garage sale-ing, shopping and just plain fun. Oh yeah and a yummy trip to Gi-Gi's Cupcakes - AWESOME. (photos by my extremely talented BFF of moncriefphotography)

Jennifer, Brittany, Mom, Brittany, Ada and I headed to Casey's house for the shower that early afternoon. As all my family and friends starting pouring in, we had a fantastic time playing fun baby shower games (making babies out of bubble gum, guessing the number of "candy babies" and "pacifiers" in bottles...") Here are a few pics - be sure to check out the album to the right for ALL of the pictures that Brittany took - FABULOUS as always. I'd like to have her with me at all times to have professional pictures taken of all my life moments....

Wrapping up: we have had a great past few weeks with all the wonderful showers, reunions and good times with our family and friends. Thank you to everyone who has sown into our lives through your words of encouragement, love and gifts of support. It's amazing how quickly this journey is taking off - stay tuned for more fabulous updates and I promise, I'm really going to try not to have a baby blog once Gabbie's here. HOPEFULLY I'll have more to talk about than just how wonderful she will be!

A few of of my favorite pics from this weekend...(than you again, Brittany. The pics are wonderful!)

Aunt Diane and Casey. They are wonderful hostesses!

my bff - she's wonderful! Really. Even though we look pretty funny taking stand up pics together - neither of us have shoes on....LOL

Group Shot! Look at all those fabulous ladies. Thank you all for coming!

I love this one: Bruce was helping me the entire time. He's a cutie pie.
