So I went back to the doctor today to get the stitches (all seven of them) taken out. And before you ask, YES - it was very painful. This might sound stupid, but I honestly was not expecting it to be so dang painful. There were a few tears shed, let's just put it that way.
One by one he picked those stupid things out of my foot and it was awful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. All I can say about it is that I was definitely glad when it was over. Brent was right there the whole time watching it all - what a trooper.
Anyway, they put these "paper stitches" on my battle wound and I have another beautiful BLACK stylish boot. I still can't put any weight on my foot - still 100% on crutches - at least for the next week, but the biggest news: I get to take a shower!! WOO HOO *Just to clarify: I've been "bathing" but not full on in the shower because I couldn't get my cast wet for the past 2 weeks.
So I have to go back next week (again) for a little follow-up visit and see when I can start putting weight on the ol' foot.
Here are a few pictures from today...

OUCH! I can't imagine what it must have felt like to have them taken out, but again I say, at least your progressing in your healing, and this will be over before you know it!
Good luck and I can't wait to see ya'll this weekend. :)
