Staying Flexible

Just like life doesn't always go as planned, sometimes our plans don't always go as planned - did you follow that? ha!
After a week full of crazy and unexpected events for our best friends, we rearranged our original plans and took a quick trip to Gatlinburg. Fun Fact: Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is Brent Whitaker's ABSOLUTE favorite place to visit. Why? Not sure. I think a lot of it has to do with childhood memories.
At any rate, we had a great time and it just happened to be the same night that they turned on all the lights in G-burg so it was beautiful! The last time we were there I was pregnant and we were buying baby name books at the bookstore. Ah, nostalgia.
After 2 days in the G-burg, we came back home where we spent a fabulous weekend with the Moncriefs. We had a great time doing a whole lot of nothing other than eating (we're all good at that) and playing Cashflow.
What is Cashflow you might ask? I like to tell people it's a board game similar to Life, but on speed. Not all people would enjoy even a single game, much less the 10+ games we played over the course of 3 days. It's awesome. That's the bottom line. We stayed up until 2:00 a.m. and later just playing this game.
We did other stuff too...Saturday the girls hit up a craft show and the guys went rock climbing at an indoor facility around the area. Sunday we all went to the church we've been visiting and afterwards enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Puckett's and a walk through downtown Franklin.

It was quite possibly the most enjoyable weekend we've all had in a while - as displayed by Ada's pure excitement and joy over eating a PB&J. Her exact words: "Oh Boy!"
